The Briones Neuroscience Research Laboratory project modified and partially renovated an existing lab to support research in Neurobiology and Neuroscience for a faculty-researcher new hire.  The research utilizes rodent models to study cognitive impairment, learning, memory functions and brain plasticity under a variety of conditions such as diet, environmental enrichment, chemotherapy-induced impairment and traumatic brain injury.

The laboratory modifications included partitioning testing spaces from the main lab for swim tanks, video-tapping and procedures.  The project also included the addition of a new walk-in cold room.
